Sagar Aghera is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in software development, CI/CD, and test automation. He holds a Master’s in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. Sagar began his career at Motorola Inc. as an RF Test Engineer, gaining hands-on experience in hardware validation and software testing for radios using IDEN technology.

He later transitioned to Qualcomm Inc., where he specialized in test automation for graphics and multimedia platforms, working on diverse testing types and developing robust automation frameworks. At Gracenote Inc., Sagar contributed to automated testing for music and video identification technologies across various platforms, and led test case management implementation using the JIRA Xray plugin.

At VMware Inc., Sagar took on leadership roles, designing test frameworks in Ruby and C#, and advancing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible. He also contributed to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) initiatives by creating infrastructure-agnostic automation frameworks and led R&D engineering for VMware’s Workspace One product.

Currently a Sr. Staff Software Engineer in Test at Netskope Inc., Sagar develops automation frameworks for endpoint clients and backend services, manages deployments on OpenStack and Azure, and modernizes CI pipelines with GitHub Actions. He also mentors engineers and conducts technical interviews.

Sagar’s early research work included developing an automated aerial surveillance system for marine life monitoring. His blend of technical expertise, leadership, and innovative mindset continues to drive impactful contributions in the tech industry.
